I was given the honor of hosting a Tea Party for Ms. Eden and her distiguished guest, Bear. It was a delightful affair! I’ve planned dozens of tea parties in the past, but this one was something quite special. Eden and Bear were properly decorated in tutus. The table was dressed in roses, fine teaware and glassware. And of course there were Eden’s Chocolate Chip Scones! What tea party would be complete without scones, right? From the time the tea was poured and scones were served, the giggles floated throughout the house. It was the most adorable homemade happiness ever made. And we made it together. ♥

Scones have to be one my favorite treats to bake with Eden. It’s definitely a process for two when making them by hand, which we do. We give our stand mixer a break on this one, blending all the ingredients patiently until they transform into a dough that we kneed (see what I did there? 😸).
We use quality flour, baking powder, etc, but the real magic happens when we add the Nestle Milk Chocolate Morsels. They are the most delicious chocolate chips. Eden always requests a few after the scones are ready for the oven. I love that they maintain their shape in the scones, but soften and melt at the first bite. You’ll be happy to know that they are also gluten free and contain no artificial flavoring or preservatives. That’s why we always use them for our scones. They are totally tea party approved. ♥
