So many cake trends out there, so little…
Actually, we may have all of Spring to try our favorite cake trends! We’ve come to terms with that. You know what they say—when life gives you lemons, make a cake or something. Okay, maybe that’s not exactly how the saying goes. We will definitely use all of that time to make life a bit more delicious though.
Our family and friends have been keeping us busy this season with a variety of requests for Easter, birthdays, and other special events. We are delighted to create these little works of art for everyone!
The cake shown in the picture above is our version of the fault line cake trend. These cakes are all the rage! Fault line cakes create the illusion of a chunk of cake being carved out and lined with appealing design; gold dust, sprinkles, fancy patterns and other cool designs. Check them out!
I cashed in some much needed me-time to relax and design our fault line cake (Yes, this is relaxing for me). Creating this cake trend was surprisingly simple but, required much patience to add little details. For the center design I used a vintage rose pattern. Then I blended a nice Tiffany blue buttercream for the layers and outer body of the cake. It turned out beautifully! Taste really good too!
I named this cake after my Eden. She is my little motivator; always cheering me on and giving me new ideas. I wanted to present this cake to her in spectacular fashion so I unveiled it as the Eden. She was so impressed, but was curious about why I gave it her name. So I told her, “This cake is a work of art, just like you my love”. ❤️
